Is Coleman okay?

Also citing pro-Owens testimony from high profile NAACP member.

2. The ABA doesn't endorse; they rate candidates
"Well qualified" is as high as they go.

3. Owens got the ABA's highest score
whatever that is.

She's currently a member of the Texas Supreme Court which is an elected position.

5. The ABA rates nominees based upon
various objective factors. They do not address ideology. It is possible for a nominee to get a good ABA rating but still not be suitable for the bench.

Interestingly, all of Clinton's nominees got well qualified or qualified ratings from the ABA, but back then the Republicans said the ABA rating didn't matter.

6. The ABA doesn't advise and consent on nominations though
That is done by the US Senate and a good portion of them don't think she is fit for a life time appointment. That is the way our government currently works although the Republicans would love dearly to change our government into a dictatorship where the President appoints and it's a done deal.
