Birthday Cake for Wes Clark
The announcement from the CCN (www.forclark.com):

General Clark's 59th Birthday Fundraiser
By camworld
Posted to Official Campaign Blog (Fundraising) on Thu Dec 4th, 2003 at 02:45:30 PM EST

This concept has been in the works for a while, ever since someone from the community of Clark supporters suggested it.

A talented supporter created the Flash graphic for us, which is a birthday cake containing 59 candles. Each candle is worth $2000. When all the candles are lit up, we'll have reached our goal of $118,000 raised exclusively from the Clark Community Network.

Donate now and help us make General Clark's 59th birthday the best he's ever had. This fundraiser ends on December 23, 2003 - General Clark's 59th birthday.

View General Clark's birthday cake and monitor the progress of your donations.

3. Absolutely a good cause!
Just give as much as you can and tell hubby you won't eat for a week OR you won't by any extras when grocery shopping OR you will walk wherever you go so you don't have to buy gas for the car OR you won't eat "out" for a week or two OR you will use the donation as your Christmas/holiday gift. :)

How's that for some back up? From one wife to another! ;)

5. good fund raising idea
I dont know who is running our campaign but he seems to be doing a decent job. I have seen him on National TV quite a bit lately and thats what we need, exposure.. When people listen to him speak its our biggest selling point.

11. Two candles now
So did any DU'er manage to be the one who lit off the new candle? 57 more candles to go.

I wonder how many candles we'll average a day.
