If the news headline is "Company Defends Electronic Voting System"
then the paper is pro-Bush, pro-Diebold; otherwise, they are ready to dig deeper into the looming Mother of all Scandals..

1. Diebold was very stupid!
They allowed an entire weekend of "Voting machines subject to massive fraud" headlines.

They left too many days of confirming "I KNEW we couldn't trust those damned computers" to the voters.

They have definitely lost the PR war.

3. I appreciate the optimism Demactivist, but never underestimate the power
of corporate bought media.

That should be the eleventh Commandment*** :)

I think its important to keep in mind most people dont even know about this issue yet. In fact, we have Democratic officials, one of whom I addressed this issue with, who have dismissed the issue (of course that was 2 days before the NY Times story broke).

BTW, does anyone know if the DNC has said anything about this and have they been contacted?

Certainly, with all the work that has been done, we are all incredibly grateful to all the hardworkers, including yourself!** But I think because many of us have been actively following the issue and looking for it in the media, we are light years ahead of most Americans, and even a lot of our Democratic officials and the media!

I believe we have a quite a way to go just yet.

You don't contact the DNC.

They contact you!

2. Any publicity for this cause is better than nothing
and of course those who ran that story were pro-Diebold papers. It will get sheeple to wake up just a little that these machines can produce fraud at a massive scale. They just might google "Vote fraud Diebold", and be directed to articles that wake them out of a coma.

After being called a conspiracy theorist last November, I'm filled with pride that this is now being taken seriously even if Diebold has to send out its spin doctors.
