Dean camp breaks 250k mark a day early!
From the Dean blog (http://www.blogforamerica.com)

"As of 11 pm EDT, 4,629 Americans have contributed $250,733.20 to the Dean Team vs. Bush-Cheney Challenge."

Fear not fellow dems....not matter how much Bush raises from his dinners, we will be able to break him with small donations from many people.

If just 1.25 million people donate $160 ($5 a week for 32 weeks) the eventual dem nominee will have 200 million dollars to fight with!!

Take hart and congratulations to the Dean campaign which is currently at $304k, about $52.55 per person...

It will be people powered dems in 2004!!!!!

1. A day early!
Wonder what sort of attention this will garner with the press, etc.

2. The money is good, but
I think the bigger story here is that it was raised by thousands individual donors -- Average: $54.00 and change.

Bob Hope's death will probably dominate most other news today, but I think it's something we can proudly proclaim now and in the future.

3. Hey if Dean can make it TO the primary I'll vote for him
And I can guarantee you that if he makes it PAST the primary I will not only VOTE for him but I'll donate and campaign for him...

7. Oh, he'll make it past the early primaries alright
the numbers look REALLY good in Iowa and New Hampshire (basically neck-and-neck with Kerry). He's also moving up nicely in South Carolina. Additionally, he's in a statistical dead-heat in California with Kerry and Gebhardt. I can tell you that Gebhardt's support is pretty soft in California. I don't know how solid Kerry's California support is, though.

4. He's the first candidate I've felt stong about since

Anderson in '80 or Zappa.

I've already passed the $500 contribution mark this morning.

6. one thing we all need to ask ourselves...
and other dems, for after the primary is over...

Is it worth $20 a month for 8 months to save democracy?

Sign up at the ePatriot site at the DNC, this fund will be available for whichever dem becomes the clear frontrunner.....

If we start now, the financial bite will be spread out over 8 months instead of asking everyone to put up large sums...

Think Christmas club!!!

8. I'm waiting until after the Primaries....
to give cash to the DNC.....If I'm not that fond of our candidate, I'll contribute in other ways such as promotion of the vote....

My $2,000 goes to Dean.....

9. Nope. Sorry.
They've got enough $$ from the fat-cat corps. Let them continue their whoring. They don't need my $50.00. I don't remember the last time the DNC helped any San Joaquin Valley candidates and I've been here for 30 years. My money goes to specific candidates, not some DNC black-hole money pit in which not ONE CENT will be spent in my area.

hmmmmmmmmm....
I wonder why the DNC needs to go whoring then?

The money is to go sepcifically to the dem nominee for pres., and if you're worried about the role of corporations in the party, what better way to get the party to notice then to give huge whopping gobs of cash, SO THEY DONT NEED TO GET CORP PACS!!!!!

Have you noticed the change in attitude in the DNC in the last couple of months? You dont think it has anything to do with all the cash the dems have been raising from the foot soldiers do you?
