President Making Rare Appearance Before Black Group
By Scott Lindlaw Associated Press Writer
Published: Jul 28, 2003

WASHINGTON (AP) - President Bush is making a rare appearance before a group that represents black Americans, part of an effort to build ties to a demographic group that overwhelmingly voted against him in 2000.

Bush was to travel to Pittsburgh on Monday to address a conference of the National Urban League, a group less critical of his policies than the NAACP, which he has shunned during his 2 1/2 years in office.

Even when he reaches out it draws attention to how messed up his relationship is with African Americans.

The first time in Senegal, Africa....

-snip-...scroll down to paragraph just above 'bush* podium pic'

"By a plan known only to Providence, the stolen sons and daughters of Africa helped to awaken the conscience of America. The very people traded into slavery helped to set America free."

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/07/20030708-1.html

and the second time, in front of the Urban League...bush* has no conscience, he really thinks it's OK to say this...hoping the Urban League calls the shrub on this, because it's his gift to religiously-insane segregated fundies (who are BIG bush*supporters)....afterall, slavery is God's plan, so it's a good thing, according to bush*, the Cheap-Labor Conservative....FREE labor is good for their bottom line corporate profits...

-snip- fourth paragraph from end of transcript....

And by a plan known only to Providence, the stolen sons and daughters of Africa helped to awake the conscience of America. The very people traded into slavery helped to set America free. (Applause.)

4. I think it's appropriate
that he appeared with Marc Morial, one of the most corrupt mayors in New Orleans history -- and that's saying something! Morial tried to get the city council to pass a new law allowing him to run for a third term just before the last election. After the new mayor, Ray Nagin, took office there were hundreds of arrests at city hall and other city offices of employees who'd been taking bribes. There was even some speculation at the time that Morial himself might be arrested.

"theme" for slave labor:

"Work Sets You Free" posted at the entrance to Auschwitz (historic photo), in German "Arbeit Macht Frei"

bushes grandfather, Prescott, funded hitler, and personnally managed slave labor at Auschwitz...worked Jewish slaves to death at a fast pace in steel and coal industries...fed them starvation diets, and executed them when they couldn't work fast enough for his obscene profits....bushies "Cheap-Labor Conservatives", best bottom line: FREE labor (which we common folks call 'slavery')...

15. NUL blasted Bush
Luckily the NUL didn't buy Bush's BS during the convention. I was there and the speakers through out the day were blasting his pathetic speech and his horrible record.

17. Don't you think it will light a fire under dem's butts?
By spouting off the way he does, Jr. just shows his thorough ignorance and basal racism. I would hope this would energize those he offends to get mobilized. Maybe I'm just dreaming....

Jr. is sure showing his true self, isn't he? Take away his teleprompter and he's toast.
