1. LOL have they REALLY? That's FUNNY! N one cares about

these idiot cops and that stupid verdict.

And it wasn't rioting that caused problems back in the day. It was the unfettered looting, due to the police chief being at a party, and unavailable for direction.

It was the lack of communications; it was the lack of leadership and the lack of a plan that instigated the wholesale looting.

The LAPD and the LA Sheriffs' had no leadership and no interactive chain of command. Sheriffs and Police officers were standing next to each other being given conflicting orders. They were told to shoot, they were told not to shoot. They were told to stay, they were told to leave.

It was a nightmare.

To make matters worse, most of the burn-outs, especially in areas further away from the flash point, were set by the property owners for insurance bennies.

Go figure.

Thanks to the events of that day, the City of LA is far more prepared and has a plan of action... So this will never happen again.
