Help!!! My Google bar keeps letting ads thru

the ad blocker doesn't seem to be working.

I uninstalled the toolbar, and reinstalled it.

And ads are still coming through!!!

What to do?

Blocks most ads and speeds up the internet at the same time.

3. That button is a toggle

Be sure you have it switched the right way. Otherwise will allow popups through. Mine works fine--so far.

4. Get FireFox immediately!

an excellent browser that will block ALL popups except the sites you specify. Very small, fast, and open source. There are excellent extensions coming out all the time.

I'm happy you made the switch, CW. I'm sure you'll be much happier with Firefox. I had a similar situation to yours about four months ago, where nothing would stop the pop-ups. Someone here told me about Firefox, so I switched. I've been a much happier browser since then. No need to support Microsoft any more than you need to.

You also may want to check out Mozilla Thunderbird. Its an open-source mail client. Give Outlook the boot, I say! :hi:

6. download Firefox, it's great

I just started working working at a different location and it had Exploder with a google bar and it was letting a bunch of popups through and installed Firefox and it stopped them immediately and has a google window beside the address bar, automatically imports your Explorer favorites and has a favorites bar under the address bar.

The few that sneak through bypass AdAware, SpyBot and seem to sneak through on the packaged MSN Messenger.

I also like that it tells you "you already have two cookies from this site. Do you want to just use those?"

I'm also concerned Zone Alarm isn't catching everything either. I got the BackDoor virus last weekend somehow. I think I've gotten rid of it though.
