2. Am researching roots of freemasons, including notable members.

I'd like to find a comprehensive website that isn't limited to a regional lodge. Hopefully such a website, if it exists, would include origins and customs as well as particular areas of interest to masons - I already am familiar with some charity work. Is there some kind of "mission statement" or other universal document that applies to all lodges? Thanks!
