because David Hasselhoff was in my dream last night! It was like a cheesy made-for-TV movie. A beautiful drag queen was found murdered and the clue was a small-framed picture of him - he had killed her and left his picture.

Neither is DH huge in Germany (he was for a short while in the 90s, yes), nor is that much beer consumed in Germany. The Irish and Czech people are in a completely different league than the Germans, when it comes to beer consumption (Germany is ahead in breweries and different beer styles though) .
