Poll question: What do you eat for breakfast?
I'm eating some nasty ass cereal I thought might be good. This is why I usually don't eat cereal. The vanilla soy milk is the only thing helping it out. That's sad. Usually I'm a fruit and juice girl. I should stick with what I know best.

1. Depends...
Edited on Wed Aug-20-03 10:26 AM by GOPisEvil
...sometimes I eat whole grain cereal/fruit bar thingies, sometimes a bowl of cereal (right now frosted mini-wheats are my choice), sometimes fat free fig newtons.

:-)

Pop-Tarts?

You know, if you buy the fruit filled kind, it ALMOST equals one serving of a fruit/vegetable in your daily requirements...

edit - crappy spelling

22. Wake 'n Bake
Say, that reminds me... Several years ago, a regional frozen pizza company here in Wis. test-marketed a frozen breakfast pizza, and guess what they called it!

That's right, Roma Wake 'n' Bake Breakfast Pizza.

I wish I'd kept one, or at least the label.

11. Kashi
Kashi cereal is my all-time favorite. I eat it at least 4 or 5 mornings a week.

Right now, my choice is Kashi Go-Lean Crunch. High in fiber and tastes great.

I've eaten better things, but it's not too bad. Hey, since going low-carb 2 months ago I've lost more than 15 pounds, so it's worth it! :)

13. Oatmeal, yogurt and an apple.
I had my blood taken about four months ago and spun in a centrifuge. When it was examined later, there was a huge clot of fat floating between the RBC's and the serum.

After all this time eating oatmeal and yogurt for breakfast, a new test showed no fat my blood. Nice!

That's my usual breakfast, but sometimes I go for Rice Chex or Raisin Bran Crunch. I reserve coffee for after dinner, because that's when I enjoy it most.

Beer and tomato juice. Don't know when or why I started this but I've had one Red Beer every morning for years. And that's the only beer I drink.......one a day, every day.

Put another way, I LOVE breakfast -- just not until 2 in the afternoon or so. So I voted "no" to breakfast, but I DO need my coffee.

26. NOTHING
I'd rather use the extra time to sleep. For example, yesterday I worked from 07:15 to 19:10. Then I got paged at 20:20, 21:50, 00:05, 04:30 and 06:00. Can you GUESS what I ate for breakfast?????????

31. God...I'm such a Heifer compared to you people
I had the southern favorite Biscuits and Gravy. Usually it's either Fruit Loops or nothing at all. Now I'm on a Frosted Mini Wheats kick my self, but I usually eat them for dinner. I LOVE Oatmeal...and my doctor just told me that if I eat 20 grams of fiber a day and drink lots of water, I too could look like I'm begging for scraps. LOL Well, I'm off to get a massage...Have a great afternoon!!

32. I know I'm gonna get flamed by the health police for this...
But I like a nice big roll with creme cheese and a side of bacon.

Yes, BACON!

Every day, for the past three years.

And my cholesterol level is 120.
My blood pressure is below the average level.
I'm 20 lbs overweight, but that's not from the bacon.

Mmmmmm, I loves me some bacon!

:)

34. So few people choose Oatmeal
but it's always what I eat. A bowl only has roughly 250 calories. And it's a complex carbohydrate so it stays with you longer and keeps you from getting hungry during the day and gives you much more energy.

It's a good diet food I think.

35. Diet Pepsi
I drink a can of diet pop first thing every morning. I know some people hate the thought of carbonation when they first wake up, but for me it's cold, refreshing, and has that much needed caffeine.
