2. Alright I'm on the bandwagon now
I thought they played a great game tonight. And it is time to bring the Cup home to it's rightful home. So go Flames, bring Lord Stanley's Cup home to Canada.

6. Metro area of Calgary is actually 1,016,000. The city is about 950,000.
By comparison, the metro area of Winnipeg is 705,000 and 650,000 in the city.

Sorry for jumpin the gun.:)

8. Go Flames! Go Bolts!
Hopefully Tampa will win tonight and I can rest easy. Calgary all the way. Who deserves The Cup more than those long suffering fans in Calgary?

11. so who's left
in the playoffs?

Calgary Flames
Tampa Bay Lightning
Philadelphia Flyers

is there a 4th team, or is it almost over in the east?

15. Almost over in the east.
Each round of the playoffs is best of 7, so some matchups end earlier than others. Calgary beat out San Jose last night in game 6. Tampa and Philly will be playing their game 6 tonight, and game 7 (if necessary) will be on Saturday.

13. So, at this point, who do you predict the Cup winner will be?
Edited on Thu May-20-04 09:12 AM by drumwolf
Now that the Finals will be Calgary vs. either Tampa or Philly, who do you predict will win the Cup at this point?

I have a hunch that Calgary will actually have a better chance against Philly than if they go up against Tampa.

And even though I'm a Sharks fan ( x( ), I'll grudgingly root for Calgary now because I'm not a Tampa or Philly fan either and I wouldn't mind seeing a Canadian team win the Cup again, especially one with Jarome Iginla as their captain.

14. Tampa Bay Lightning will wrap up a very tired Philly tonight.
and then sweep the flames in four. The flyers are spent half their defense men are out with concussions. The lightning are healthy and have too much speed for the flyers. The series is over and Philly should fold up by the end of the second period.
