Fan calls it the worst concert ever
HAMPTON - Gloria Dion wants her money back after being subjected to what she calls the worst Jewel concert ever.

<snip>

"People were literally walking out of the show," she said. "As soon as she came out, she began to insult us. We thought she was joking at first because it was kind of weird."

Witnesses said Jewel went on a tirade of insults from poking fun at fat people to others with no teeth. At one point, she asked the audience to yell requests and then told them to "shut the hell up."

"I saw her live in Boston and it was the greatest show I’ve ever been to," Dion said. "I don’t know if she was having a nervous breakdown or what. She told everyone to stop looking at her teeth and look at her breasts."

1. Anyone who actually pays more than
two cents to hear that treacly trash from that candy striper wannabe deserves whatever they get, if ya ask me!

Actually, the worst concert award has to go to Bob Dylan; I LOVE the man, he's one of my musical and poetry heroes, but GOD does he give a HORRIBLE concert, straight from hell!!!

3. wow, I have never seen a bad dylan show
nor have I heard many bad ones, and I have thousands of hours of dylan concerts on tape. He ain't going to talk to you much, but he is going to come on out and play with some really skilled musicians. What did he do or not do when you saw him?

4. I agree, sorta...

I've been to three Dylan concerts. Two of them were in outdoor venues, and they were good, not the best shows I'd ever been to, but enjoyable. The indoor concert is the worst concert I've ever attended.

The difference was the atmosphere, I guess. The outdoor venue had that "wild and free" attitude about it, people milling about, generally partying, with Dylan just playing.

And as for Jewel, well...I got talked into going to one of her concerts in San Jose once. It wasn't impressed.

6. Dylan
Yep. The man is a genius, but I saw him about 10 years ago, at the Alabama homecoming concert, and it was amazingly bad. He was playing a song, and I was trying to figure out which song it was. About 3/4 of the way through, I finally reallized it was "Like A Rolling Stone."

7. I have a theory: crack.
She's on crack. I mean, she'd have to be to think she's in ANY position to insult other people's teeth.

Maybe she and David Cassidy have the same dealer.

8. did you see her on the Tonight Show that time?
She was wearing this very low-cut top, with her boobs just barely contained. She snapped to James Carville, a fellow guest, "Stop looking at my boobs!"

:eyes:

Her status in music is in no way the result of talent/originality.

EDITED to appease the staunch moralists.

11. "Stop looking at my TITS! Oh, you have a Mercedes? Wanna see a nipple?"
Edited on Sun May-23-04 11:09 PM by BiggJawn
That's what pisses me off the most. Shit, why don't they just get a tattoo that says "You MUST make THIS much (picture of a pile of dough) to look at THESE"...

Wear a low-cut top then get all pissy when some guy looks. What, you do that to impress other WOMEN????
Next they'll be telling us they get those tacky butt tattoos for themselves, too....
