1. Two is not always better than one.
Two boots to the head are not better than one.

At least not in all circumstances.

2. Yeah, but in that case, even ONE isn't good.
I was wondering if in the case that one is good, if 2 would be even
better. . .

5. I'm thinking I shouldn't have taken the second
ephedra allergy pill today. Feeling kind of jittery. . .

Now some champagne, that might relax me!

9. It's a good way to break a bad habit, anyway.
I can think of some formerly "good" things I've really lost enthusiasm for . . .

7. If y' got one woman,
y' better get two.
Ain't no tellin' what a woman will do.
And if y' got two women, y' better get five.
Three might leave you and one might die.

Rag momma, do that rag.

11. Just so long as they don't find out about each other.
Otherwise, not only are you left with none, but you may lose the means to obtain more...

15. Depends on what it is
In your case, in taking medication that carries side effects, two can be a very bad thing. I cannot take over the counter amphetimines at all. I have bad panic attacks (ones that don't respond to just one Xanax) if I take anything like that.
