Does Pennywise suck?

Ok, by all counts I am an old fart and I am supposed to by all rights despise the punk revival.

Sure, I am allowed to endure bands like NOFX and Bad Religion that have been around forever.

Never could take Green Day, Good Charlotte, and even the Offspring lately.

But as an old post-punk, hardcore kid of the eighties I kind of like Pennywise, Rancid (deriviative? some.), and the New Bomb Turks.

Tell me what is wrong with those bands?

I like a lot of those bands I missed when I was playing out myself and going to grad school; since I was not really a hardcore type. I really Like NOFX ( I think they are hysterical in a good way) and I like the Pennywise songs I have heard. I do like Green Day, but think it is a little unfair that they became famous and not people like Bad Religion, etc. I really like Bad Religion and have for a long time. I like the Dropkick Murphys music, too, despite their social and fan contradictions. I like the voice of the singer in Rancid and what he has to say as well.
