I love the Daily show - BUT.....

They're using the bleep button to often these days. It was funny before when every once in a while John would use it...butnow it's so often, it just ain't as funny.

1. The show today was pretty dark

A lot of my Daily Show enjoyment depends on the quality of the bits, the audience, the guest--one of those out of whack, and it loses something. Seinfeld once said that laughter contains thought, and a good comedy bit is really a dialogue between the perfomer and the audience, and I think that's accurate--a good audience can make a mediocre bit much funnier than it would otherwise be.

2. But john HAS to be one of the best in a LONG time

Muc of the stuff is pointing out irony...but the way he phrases it - it's to damn good.
