My nephew insists I watch this movie, because he says it's so much better than the original. It's playing right now. Is it any good? Or am I wasting my time?

Well, it's not like there's anything better on.

I can't tell you if the remake is better or worse than the original, but I thought the original was pretty disgusting; which is why I didn't see the remake.

The first one has an eerie, documentary feel - partially because it was shot on bad film and has a grainy feel. The new one is too glossy, and the movie dives into why Leatherface kills.

WE DON'T CARE WHY HE KILLS, we just want to recoil in terror every time we catch a glimpse of him....

and I don't usually sit through crap... somehow Matthew McConaughey, who I don't even like, gave it some misplaced validation, and I watched the whole thing.... Don't bother... really.
