An annoying thing I noticed recently

I have been noticing this new trend lately. It seems that at movies there are more and more advertisements before the film. I went to see Spiderman 2 yesterday and had to sit through about 5 minutes worth of ads. These ads come before the regular previews for other movies.

I think that it is ridiculous to have to sit through ads when I have already paid to see a movie. The advertising genius that figured out that people will pay to sit through ads should be commended... or horsewhipped.

1. It was like that for Star Trek Nemesis... in 2002 no less. Here's why:

Movie theatres are losing money BIG TIME in order to keep prices low. (prices are still a joke, but the blame there goes to the movie making companies and ultimately the big name stars who get tens of millions to look pretty and act bad in a movie.)

They're not making as much for the overpriced popcorn (can't imagine why) so ads before the movie is all they have left.

Of course, it's no longer possible to go in late either - you have to sit through the commercials. x(

other day, and I was ready to throw my popcorn at the screen! x(

3. Maybe we should boycott all the companies that advertise before movies

I was getting so mad I was actually thinking about doing this. What do you think?
