I JUST WATCHED THE TERMINATOR FOR THE FIRST TIME TONIGHT
Wow 1984....20 years ago....not a bad movie. I finally watched the whole movie all the way through. That's rare for me. The music was pretty good too. Some of the special effects were pretty hokey though. What's your opinion on this movie, ya girlie men LOL/Just kidding...

2. conan
Rent the Conan DVD. Turn on commentary and laugh your ass off as Ahnold makes a fool of himself. "I like the hacking." . Drink every time he says, "exactly."

4. This was your first time?
Wow! Great film! The effects might seem hokey, but keep in mind The Terminator was a low budget film from 1984.

5. low-budget, yup, but
Edited on Sat Jul-24-04 11:19 PM by GAspnes
James Cameron wanted to direct the hot new property, "Alien" as his first major film. (He'd done two others, including the dreaded "Pirahana 2"). When the studio decided he was too green and chose Ridley Scott instead, James decided to show them they'd made a mistake by not choosing him ... and did "Terminator".

6. Good movie
Although they stole the idea from and old episode of " The Outer Limits," ...." The Soldier," written by Harlan Ellison.

9. Those special effects were groundbreaking, as is the norm for
Jim Cameron movies - think The Abyss and then Terminator 2, oh yeah Aliens, True Lies, Titanic :7

Seriously, Terminator is a good movie, Terminator 2 is a good movie, Cameron really knows how to structure and tell a story. It's when someone else picks up on his ideas that it all turns to crap.

10. I love that movie and pretty much all of Arnold's action movies
I still love Arnold the actor I don't care what anyone says, you'll get me to boycott Ben and Jerry's before I'll boycott Predator.

(actually when you're not looking I'll sneak in some ben and jerry's while I'm watching Predator)

18. I suppose that would leave Jim Belushi to carry Red Heat all by himself
which would be entertaining in its own right. You may be onto something.
