15. Coyote!
Coming down, the phoenix sun on your face
Turns it to red by the afternoon
And to the right, the grand canyon is wide
Sing along, the needle skips in the wind
Count the stars of death valley
And in the dark, barstow starts to fade

Coyote!
Coyote!
Yeah!!!

(everything is a song ya know?)

18. no apology needed
They are a guilty pleasure of my youth in the mid-70's. Overseas, I was a prisoner of Armed Forces Radio (on the freeway and off). I am a softie influenced by nostalgia, which can be a mixed blessing, lol.

My summer afternoons were filled with the Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, The Wings, BOC, KC & The Sunshine Band, Queen, and many of the other biggies of the era. My older sister had a decent collection, which included some of the above, as well as Stevie Wonder (Songs in the Key of Life - classic!), Earth, Wind, & Fire, scads of Elton John, and the Who, many more...

My own collection didn't germinate until a few years later. Before that, I owned comedy and novelty albums, lol.

Edited on Fri Jul-11-03 09:25 AM by SiouxJ
it wasn't just AFR, that's pretty much what we had here too. Oh sure, we got some Zeppelin too but those bands were pretty prevalent on most FM radio stations I listened to in San Diego in the 70's. Oh, and Steely Dan. Lots of Steely Dan

You nostalgic? HA! I don't believe it. ;-)

25. Yeah..I voted "cream" but I mean "milk".
I usually put some milk (or coffee mate) in the coffee to cool it down a bit and cut the bitterness.

Funny how many folks like cream & sugar, and black.

Now what i want to know is what is "really black" coffee.

26. French-Italian Espresso Roast
Freshly gound, brewed strong. And ff you can't drink your coffee black or your bourbon neat, you should leave it for the grownups.

27. Hmm... a Gevalia popup up ad popped up when I came to this page
It might have been from another web page I opened at the same time, but oddly SPOOKY!

ZOMBY has control of my computer!

I like my coffee dark, bitter, and strong, with no chemical additives like sugar or cream, unless it's one of those God-awfully hot NYC coffees, then I put some cream in just to get it below a boiling temperature.

29. Zomby, or else Kona or one of our other fine island coffees
the only domestic ones, y'know.

Kona has the brand name, but at least five (of eight) Hawaiian islands grow coffee; there is even a plantation on the North Shore of crowded O'ahu!

Now if we could get Zomby to use Kona, or perhaps Moloka'i Burly... mmmm....
