I caught SPAC last night. Don't know if you made the trip, but the show was an absolute monster from beginning to end. You were absolutely right about the polish of the band. Warren stepped up, and has become the new de facto band leader in Jerry's stead. Phil and Bobby (despite a "spat" during an acoustic Me & My Uncle which I apparently missed) both took a back seat to Warren, and everything just worked! The vocal harmonies were just awesome -- even Phil was on key, and of course, Warren's voice is simply sweet. I can't wait to hear a version of Stella, or Morning Dew.

Even Drums -- usually when I do a tour of the crowd and men's room -- was amazing.

The highlight of the show from my perspective -- a cover of Pink Floyd's "Shine on You Mighty Diamond" which was absolutely stunning!

Given that the Saratoga Track just opened this weekend, I was really hoping for a cover of the George Jones tune "The Race is On (Pride of the Backstretch)." They didn't get there!

This was simply one of the beast GD/OO/Dead shows I've EVER seen!
Jerry's Birthday and a Blue Moon to boot -- it made for an absolutely magical evening!
