KC Chiefs fans
After the Bush* crap last week my husband goes down to watch them feeling a little blue over that incident and sitting next to the coach is Dick Cheney. Just thought you might like to know if you had not seen it yet. Perhaps we should send more mail to them. They have been less than kind with their responses so we should keep it up.

1. Hey! So, has the storm passed over you yet?
Its kicking Lawrence in the teeth right now, actually. My power has flashed out three times. I keep having to restart my computer!

And my car is not only not covered from the hail, but it is also parked on the street under a tree (no better spots, even though I am supposedly guaranteed one in the lot).

2. No we are still in it
but I just heard that the sirens were going off for you. Be careful, this is a real bugger. There is MUCH more coming in about an hour or two. Lots of tornados. Take cover, this is a rough one.

3. Yeah, sirens were, but they just went off
A tornado was spotted south of Clinton lake, but it just dipped down and is going to go south of town.

All is well for now...

This town, ironic as it seems, is completely shut down by four inches of snowfall overnight but can handle tornados like they are nothing.

4. Lives lived among the storms.
I LOVE them, they remind me how small we are and how powerful nature is. Nobody can drive in the snow but remember, last year was the most snow we have seen in probably 10 years if not more. We used to get lots of deep snows but not for a long time. Glad you are back, I just played at the big deal at Lied Center, I love Lawrence.!!!! * !!!!They are now talking about 23rd street, I do not know where you live but take care.

5. I live right off of campus
Right down the hill.

The tornado we had two years ago hit that same area, 23rd and Wakarusa.

7. I can't go,
6 inches of rain and the roads are all flooded and there is another storm cell building to hit before the next big one. I sure hope the roof is on and the horses took cover from the hail. I am still here so let me know.

6. Hey CP
I have to run out and check things at the farm. Let me know if you are OK after this first big storm passes. I hope your car isn't too dented.
