what I did was start walking out into traffic and doing other stupid and dangerous stuff. Of course, that was when I wasn't curled up in the fetal position agonizing along with Roger Waters The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking.

Take a deep breath, have a really good cry, and get ready to have it out when the SO gets home, assuming he isn't already there. It also helped me to take an account of everything about me that was good and desirable and draw strength from that.
