I feel so progressive now....(latest purchases)
In the last few days I've got the "Anyone but Bush 2004" DU shirt, a book of Teddy Roosevelt's letters to the Kansas City Star which features the famous quote in my sig, a copy of "Duck Soup" on DVD (actually I made a copy from the one I borrowed from my library, but the DVD is out of print so no one's losing royalties), and just today I snagged a copy of "Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot" from my local secondhand book store.

Funny related story, I was in the book store with my mom who has had some trouble getting used to my newfound outspokeness on political issues. She's always been a "what will the neighbors think?" kind of person. So she has her face buried in the mystery section as always and I show her the book I was going to buy. As we were leaving, she saw a row of books in the Biography section across the aisleway and asked "aren't those the people you're always talking about?" (she just had cataract surgery and the eyes are still adjusting). I look at what she's referring to and say "Yep, I think everyone should read more about the Founding Fathers!"

2. are you serious!?
I guess I shouldn't be surrpised. In a report aired last weekend, NPR found that people who were read the Bill of Rights thought the people who wrote it should be charged with treason!
