I've seen a preview for it a couple of times and it looks like it would be right up my alley. Anyone know anything about this flick?

4. Sort of reminds me "Killing Dance" by Laurell Hamilton

Several years ago when I started interesting my mother in something other than the same old romance novels (no offense to anyone), I grabbed 4-5 books from the science fantasy section of the bookstore for her to read. Because she required the main character to be female, I ended up getting one of Laurell Hamilton's books because it appeared to fit her criteria.

She ended up reading all the other books, becoming a big Maggie Fury fan in the process, but never read the Hamilton book. I eventually did. I remember at the time being intrigued by the hostility between the werewolves and vampires.

This movie reminds me of this book, with some Matrix and Dark City mixed in big time.

I'm looking forward to seeing it and hoping it will still be in the theaters when my wife gets here in August.

PS - I've been a lurker here in DU for well over a year. Never thought this would be the topic of my first post!

5. Yes, the first few Blake books were quite good
The newer ones are not worth reading IMHO.

2. Yes, I think it will be awesome!
Vampires and werewolves in a war against each other. It is kind of a Romeo (Werewolf) meets Juliet (Vampire). Scott Speedman and Kate Bekinsale. It is my list of films to see in 2003.

3. It looks awesome from the preview
Unfortunately, I've thought that about a lot of films I ended up hating.

6. Yep
It looks like to be a FX enhanced fight fest. Sort of a Matrix minus the heavy philosophy.
