Hurricane Gene is just passing me now

Well, no damage here, just about one hour below Tampa-still very windy at about 60 mph, however, my lemon tree is uprooted, and a few green oranges on the ground, but my avacado and kumquat tree are OK.
My sympathies to all the poor folk that have been hit so hard. Lets hope that this is the last big one this season.

1. Just passed me an hour ago... strong winds and rain all morning...

And just now got my cable modem access back. No damage, no loss of electricity (though there were a few times that it went off and on again), but lots of uprooted trees and branches all over the roads. Glad you fared ok too. :hi:

It has been hectic here. Fortunately, I'll be moving before next summer, so no more hurricanes for me, unless Mother Nature wants to make it a real record and send another. I've been incredibly fortunate... twice now the eye has gone right over me, but aside from downed trees, some minor roof damage and a lot of anxiety, it hasn't been too awful.

I was talking to my mother this morning and she said there is a likely chance hurricane season will be extended to December 1, as the world's climate is changing so much. It's good to hear that you weren't badly affected by any of the storms. I'm glad to hear Florida DUers "checking in" with minimal loss/damage from the storms.
