6. Gone
He lost on a taping they did a month or so ago. You will be able to see it sometime in the latter part of October. I think he wound up with something like 2.5 million bucks!

10. From the rumor mill
I heard that a woman beat him, but then she was beaten on her very next time up. I have no idea if that is true or not, but it's what I heard.

8. he is still playing
He was not eligible for the tournament, because his winning streak went past the cut-off date. If he loses between now and the next cut-off (early September 2005), he will be eligible for next year's tournament.

He will be back after the tournament.

Editor's Note: The Associated Press provided this story to news outlets, and gives details below. If you'd prefer to not know anything, stop reading now.

LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Has Ken Jennings ended is "Jeopardy!" streak?

A report posted Wednesday on TV Week's Web site said the brainy software engineer lost in a show taped Tuesday, walking away after his 75th straight game with about $2.5 million overall in cash and prizes. The magazine cited unidentified sources and said the show would air later this fall.

A spokesperson for the show told TV Week that it would not disclose whether Jennings lost.

Calls late Wednesday by The Associated Press to "Jeopardy!" publicist Jeff Ritter and to the show's production offices were not immediately returned.
