F*ck Boca Burger brand
At your grocer's, it's $4 for 4 patties. Seemed on par with the bogus-burger industry.

But at Sams Club, it's a 16 patty pack for $8.88.

And Sams Club won't take credit or debit cards. (I had a guest pass, and the only thing worth using it for was the Boca patties. Nothing else was even remotely that much of a great savings, and the 64oz packages of broccoli had cost MORE than the grocer's brand. And they're very selective in their computer/eectronics area. Amusigly, they had a 36" wide HDTV plasma set for $2499 but the picture quality was shit. Many plasma screens have a blocky look to them (though others look perfect), but this Samsung set was worthless. I pity nobody who is dumb enough to buy it...)

F*ck sams club too. They're as much of a joke as walmart, except you have to spend $35 to get those mostly vaporware discounts (in the form of cash only, they don't even do debit cards).

2. They're tasty, but I'll be happy to eat dead farm poultry instead...
I always thought $4 for 4 patties was a lot (the 'health food' biz has a habit of fleecing its consumer base). But today I saw the proof. The bastards are fleecing their customers. Big-time.

Gardenburger brand is the best; partly because it's 100% organic and thus almost worth its price.

4. It's true though. Indeed,
you'd be amazed at what 1oz of soy-based snack chips costs.

Atkins must be rolling in his grave. Rolling around on his mattress of money.

8. Are you damning by faint praise? Or are they really good?

IS there a really good one? What do they taste like, compared to the former cow product?

16. I agree. They are my least favorite brand
Veggie Patch (refrigerated, not frozen) makes a tasty burger too. Though Costco doesn't seem to have them anymore :-(

13. Heh. That samsung was so bad,
it made a standard TV set playing a 2nd generation VHS tape look pristrine by comparison.

They were playing the Star Wars Empire Strikes Back DVD and, whew boy, even the foreground details were fuzzy. Background details were horrendous.

I'd be embarrassed to have set it up.

I prefer the HDTV back-projection sets. Better viewed with the lights off, but the glass sets (my #2 choice) are heavy and plasma and even LCD are expensive and of varied quality. And, especially with LCD, I will not tolerate even a single dead pixel.
