I'm really angry at DU right now and I don't know what to do

This is not one of those ridiculous posts trying to get people to beg me to stay. I just needed to get this out of my system and let everyone know why they might not see me around much for a while. One of my very best friends around here got tombstoned overnight and I am furious about it. After 2 and a half years and nearly 10000 posts I think he deserves better than "Here lies a disruptor...he disrupted poorly." Knowing that the people who followed him from thread to thread just to pick fights with him are still here and posting is making my blood boil and I don't know whether I'm gonna get over it any time soon.

I have a tendency to let shit go when it's directed at me but I take things done to my friends much more seriously.

If anyone has any advice from having had their friends banned on how to deal with this feel free to answer here or pm me. How do you find a way to stay on a board you usually love that's full of friends after they kick someone you care about off?

I'd start with the ask the administrators forum. This is assuming he is really innocent and didn't do anything deserving of a ban, which I'll assume.

Moderators are not perfect, so make your case - someone else here might know a more direct way to contact someone, but I would recommend that.

I'm sorry this happened. Tensions are really high and moderators are overreacting to lots of stuff and underreacting to lots of others stuff. There are so many areas where there are no crystal clear rules on how mods should mod we see a lot of inconsistency. That's life - they're doing their best.

All this advice comes from somone who fights with the mods all the time. :)
