2. At least he's playing himself.
He had a cameo in the film "Ragtime"...let's just say that acting isn't his strong suit. :-)

4. I probably do too....
She loves you more, but for one hour
on Tuesday nights, she loves Stars Hollow
and its minions.

5. I wanna live in Stars Hollow. Best show on TV.
BTW, the son is playing a reporter, not himself.

GG stays politically free, though you could guess the affiliations of every character. Lorelai once blurted out that W's face was too tiny for his head, just to get a rise out of her parents and their uppercrust friends. And they re-introduced a Navy character this week, who now has a hook for a hand. It wasn't explicitly blamed on Iraq, but the inference was there. (Worse prop arm ever, though, nearly touching the guy's ankle it was so long)

GG is such a safe, smart haven from, well, almost all of the rest of TV. I'm in love with the show's creator Amy.

7. lol...you're right
about his son playing a role and the hook...
one of the things I like is the show writes
in references to current events.

8. I enjoy these characters and their dialogue
in the way that I loved Northern Exposure. Other than West Wing, GG is my favorite show. And I tend to avoid a lot of TV, other than PBS.

9. Did you catch the "lying swift boat captains" comment 2 wks ago?
When Taylor was running for reelection as town selectman, and he was bribing the constituents with ice cream, she commented, "Now all he needs is a bunch of lying swift boat captains to complete the ambush." :7
