3. Monty Clift wasn't hard to look at , either!
The screen-filling kiss ("you'll be my pickup") is one of my favorite scenes in all of moviedom. Wonder if Elizabeth ever watches that movie now and thinks, "were we ever really that young and that beautiful?" :sniff:

6. I remember some Hollywood clip-fest from old movies, I think it was at
the Oscars one year, showed Elizabeth Taylor in a scene from one of her very early childhood appearances, either National Velvet or some other black and white film from around that time. She had a luminous beauty that just jumped out from the screen. Really incredible, and rare.

7. And she's talented, too.
For some reason she never seemed flighty or 'young'.
Onscreen she has a great deal of gravitas...even when she was a kid, LOL.
