Spyware Stormer????

Does anybody know what this is??? I bought a new computer 3 months agoa and this showed up about a couple of weeks ago. I have Norton Internet Security. Spyware Stormer asked me to perform a scan for spyware, which I did. It said that I had numerous spywares on my computer, and in order to clean it up I have to put in my registration number....which I don't have. There is a place where I can register if I don't have a number, but it won't let me in to register. I have tried numerous times. Is this garbage, or should I pursue it? I just don't know what to do about it. Thanks in advance.

1. Ad-aware or Spybot

Don't know spyware stormer. Do a search for Ad-aware and/or Spybot. They are free and will clean that junk out of your computer.

Ad-Aware and Spybot are great.

But, I just opted for Foxfire, and it's so wonderful, I can't understand why anyone uses IE. No ads, no spyware, no pop-ups. It's really slick, and that's a good thing..........

What about Foxgire for a 9.2 Mac? I use IE and Netscape. What do you think of Netscape?

5. It's garbage; dump it

The earlier suggestion to get Ad-Aware or Spybot Search &
Destroy was a good one. Be very sure you're getting Ad-Aware
from Lavasoft, and not the other program with the almost
identical name (AdaWare, I think it is).
