I've lost a couple, so I may not speak the language well....

I think plants respond to postive energy just as animals do. I often go to the back of a nursery and buy half dead plants at a great discount (sometimes they are just given to me) and have nursed many back to becoming beautiful specimens.

I also talk to bees! I work around flowers in the midst of bees and have never been stung. As a small child, I worked alongside my beekeeper grandfather who talked to his bees. He said that bees have a keen sense of smell and can smell fear in humans, and they will strike us "pre-emptively" if they think we will swat them, so talking not only calms the bees but also calms us. It worked for grandpa and it has worked for me. I'd rather a bee sit on my arm than a mosquito. I don't seem able to talk them out of biting me!
