Each and every movie features at least one big showy song and dance number. Doesn't matter what kind of movie it is, there always song and dance. I spent a couple of weeks in Mumbai a few years ago and watched Indidan tv, including the Indian movie channels. It was a hoot. I remember this 007 knockoff: hero, bad guy, secret lair, beautiful girl, the whole kit-and-kaboodle. The good guy was in a gunfight with the bad guy and henchmen, the heroine was in peril, and just as the situation got real dicey, EVERY BREAKS OUT INTO SONG!!! I kid you not. The bad guy is about to kill the girl when everyone breaks into this busby berkley-esque song and dance. "I am the bad guy, I'm going to kill you...."


Seriously, picture the crazy Indian cab driver playing "ROCKY" with showtunes.
