1. Chimpy is the little boy who cried 'wolf' - just too bad the sheep still
believe him.
I swear, some people must have lined up twice for oatmeal instead of queueing up for the grey matter that SHOULD be between their ears.

2. So, you were only a "little pissed" before this?
JUST KIDDING (I get how sarcastic I am).
I saw it today, too.
What a load of shit.
Just remember this: half the nitwits watching don't even get the metaphor. This is not going to sway anyone. Everyone's who is watching this shit has made up their minds. The famous undecided don't watch commercials. They're still figuring out what they want for the next meal. (They're the ones in the restaurant who say, "Oh, I can't decide. Can I have five more minutes with the menu?" Then later, when your dinner comes, they say, "Oh, that looks good, I should have ordered that.")

Anyway, I've been really pissed off for over four years. I hope it ends soon, because I'm turning 53 soon and my blood pressure suddenly went up.

I'm glad you feel better.... it's good to vent!

3. Always loved the bumper sticker: " Little Red Riding Hood LIED"
Somehow, it seems to apply now more than ever!

Wolf is indeed a most noble animal. I love the story about how the dog came to be man's best friend: As Adam and Eve (OK, it's a stretch, but a lovely tale) were thrown out of the garden, God caused a chasm to open between them and all the other animals. As the chasm grew, the dog had to decide which side to remain on. At the moment before the chasm grew too wide to cross, Dog leaped over it to stand beside the people.

I truly feel that the wolf and the bear are the teachers of early human-kind as we moved to the colder north as a species. They teach what to eat, how to den from the winter, and are the best parents around.

The wolves at our sides, our dogs, are more noble and honest than most of the humans we will ever meet. Rove screwed up BIG TIME trying to use the old human loathing of the wolf as competing predator image. Under that image in our collective unconscious, there lies a much older one: the wolf as friend and partner. The wolf and the human made a pact a very long time ago. Rove is too far removed from the natural world to have known this. Another bit of evidence of how out of touch with reality the junta is.
