7. Of course! I knew that didn't seem right...thanks
Gene Barry was cool as that rich bachelor, too. What was that show?

Loved Gene Rayburn, what a risque bastard he was. Way cool guy.

4. The duo of Charles Nelson Reilly and Brett Sommers was unbeatable!
Richard Dawson had his moments, though I think Charles got miffed once or twice when Dawson did his Paul Lynde impression (which was rather funny and I'm as gay as CNR!)

Gene Rayburn was a riot as a host, too.

And the whole show was deliciously politically INCORRECT. I doubt they could do it today; though by today's standards repeating the same jokes would be futile (they tried it in 1990 and it failed).

It's best to watch all 1200 episodes that were taped. It's great they remained in the archives and were professionally remastered, they do look sharp.

12. Gotta love Game Show Network
I don't remember watching it during the original run (sorry, I was a little young for it) but LOVE it now.

I don't think CNR really cared when Richard did the Paul Lynde thing. But anyway...

11. Richard was $MONEY$
That's why they eventually changed the format - so they would stop picking Richard. Of course, he moved on to Family Feud by that point...

9. Brett Sommers AND Fannie Flagg
but basically I loved them all... Patty Duke was good too when she was on .. and so was Betty White and the no-one-ever-could-fill-his-shoes incredible host Gene Rayburn.
