7. Madonna, the Early Years. You can make your costume from anything
Edited on Sat Oct-23-04 02:54 PM by no_hypocrisy
in the Salvation Army clothes stores or consignment shops.

Second suggestion: in the same places to shop, you can find 80's dresses with the big shoulders and sequins in the style of Dynasty.

32. Come on ladies, it was Pat Benatar who defined the 80s.
Madonna was a creature for ALL decades. Benatar was ALL 80s.

8. Stirrup pants, 10-inch belt and a top with huge lineman shoulder pads...
Today, I have no clue how I ever found woman attractive during the 80's. Thank God for the need of procreation.

11. Looking back at what I used to wear!
I thought I looked so cool in those britches - the pirate pants that ended right below the knee, although I did rip out the shoulder pads in all the shirts.

I do still miss my beret, though.

30. That's a good one, really.
Having said that, I love Christo. The documentary on 'Running Fence' is spellbinding. All of these rednecks volunteered without knowing what they were getting into, and thought he was some kind of nut. When it was completed, the volunteers were in tears over the event. A wonderful thing to watch.

15. I actually still have mine - you might be able to
If you can't, you could make your own - 3 lines, first line Ronnie Say in small print, second line RELAX in really really large print covering most of the t-sirt and last line we start bombing in 5 minutes small print

18. Elvira was REALLY popular in the 80s. I dressed up like her one...
Halloween, and won the costume contest at the bar here. I think it was the plunging neckline more than that I looked like Elvira, though. ;-)

24. Wendy O. Williams!!!
Even better - a DEAD Wendy O. Williams!!! She killed herself in 1998. Just two pieces of strategically placed electricians tape for the breasts. Or whipped cream. She was REAL low budget on her breasts - it's the Rhino headress that would be a bitch to find.

Or Buffy from 'Family Affair', the day after they found her in a gutter, OD'd on something like 20 different drugs.
