Tyrone Willingham is Toast!!!!!!!!!!
Yup, another middling season at Notre Dame, only able to beat a vastly over-rated Michigan team, and then everyone thinks they might have a good year.

But, noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Anyway, it's not entirely his fault, however, someone who refers to Condo-liar Rice as a "dear, dear friend" deserves to join the ranks of the unemployed!

1. More Kerry Good Karma
Another Boston team wins and it is against the bastion of Catholicism. I see a pattern here. First Giullian loses valuable face time in the World Series now Notre Dame loses to a Boston team.

6. Well, it was Catholic vs. Catholic--Brothers of the Holy Cross versus
the Jesuits.

Still, if it's good karma for the Red Sox, this ND alum will take it!

12. I was at one point--that's why I went there!
Then I lost my faith in the church, but still believed in the football team.

Now, I've lost my faith in them, too!!!!!!!!!!

5. Welcome to DU! I bet he damn well does!
The job was a no-win situation, because the powers-that-be at ND just ain't gonna support what it takes to have a competitive football team anymore!

9. It looked like--for a short while--they just might play like they were!
He's in over his head. They should have gotten Grunden, when he was leaving Oakland--they guy's greatest dream is to coach at ND! His alarm clock--when it goes off--plays the Fight Song!

But noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

That might mean they could actually be good again with a good coach.

15. The minimum I expect from an ND coach
beat the teams you're better than. The sched is hard enuf without choking against inferior opponents. They have now lost two games(BYU and BC) to teams that they should have beaten by 17 + points.

16. You may expect that, the students may expect that, the alumni may
expect that, the fans may expect that, BUT, until the powers-that-be at the University expect that, you're gonna see a lot more pathetic losses.

Even if Tyrone goes, they'll just get another mediocre coach.

10. The modern day gipper says
I'm going to tell you something I've kept to myself for years. The last thing George Gipp said to me was, "Rock, sometime when the team is up against it, and a female booster is caught sleeping with the boys, and the program is accused of age discrimination, and recruiting is awful, and the offense is still geared for the four horsemen, and the tv ratings are sliding, and the top 10 is a distant memory, tell them to go out there with all they got and win just eight .. maybe nine for the gipper."

That whole scandal with the booster was unbelievable! She got pregnant by one of the guys, remember? Geesh!!!!!!

17. Yeah, a week ago I figured they had a shot at Tennesee, but not after
today.

I never gave them a chance against USC, especially since it's at USC.
