3. Remember when the
Av's won the Stanley Cup the first time? I worked at Coors Field at the time and breathed some nasty pepper spray on the way out of LoDo trying to get home.

4. No, but I remember the Broncos' first win--almost got hit by a car because
people were so drunk and running stop lights!

I'm originally from back east, not a Broncos fan, but I was really rooting for them that year!

8. ALMOST like the Red Sox win--the Broncos had what--4 Super Bowl
losses, and it looked like they might never win! Of course, can't compare with 86 years, but there was that feeling of relief of finally winning!

12. I was glad for Elway
esapecially those first humiliating Super Bowl losses he suffered under the heavy handed Dan Reeves. I worked at Mile High Stadium during the two years that they went to the big game and they were something to behold. I didn't make the move to Invesco and I don't really pay much attention to them anymore. It's unlikely we'll ever see anything like that again for a long time in this town.

which is about 100 miles east of here....we'll survive the night here in northampton, can't say the same for the Hub if the revelers turn to rioters.....

10. so has Smith College turned into a giant smoking crater yet?
Things seemed reasonably calm at UMass, but they're just getting started. There were some nice fireworks going off at Southwest. Red and white and stuff.

11. not yet
the women of smith seem to be keeping calm - guess the tactics on UMASS campus following Game 7 have had a chilling effect.....or they're waiting for the bars to close before letting loose....
