Something cat lovers might like

Edit: I should point out it is a little graphic in parts

I'm more of a dog person, but I thought this was interesting:

Private life of a cat

Alexander Hammid's intimate study of a female cat and the birth and maturation of her five kittens.

1. Believe it or not ...
it's really messier than that. No gory details, here, but I remember when my sister's cat -- a big, fluffy cat like that one, that she wasn't even sure was pregnant -- gave birth. In a basket full of clean laundry, of course, and after two days of being shown the box with a towel in it that my sister had prepared because she suspected the cat was about to give birth. It ain't a pretty process.

3. Guess not

Those unacquainted with the Internet Archives site should browse a while. Lots of fascinating material aside from the well-known "The Wayback Machine."
