Fenris (or Fenrir) is the name of a Norse monstrous wolf who was the son of Loki and his wife, Angrboda.

I think Fenris is also the name of some band. I know nothing about that.

who plays for the band Darkthrone, who is infamous for flirting with neo-Nazi imagery (but is not an outright neo-Nazi band in the same sense as "white power" bands like Skrewdriver).

"Fenris" may very well also be the name of a different band as well. In fact, I'm sure some band somewhere HAS taken it as its name.

IIRC, from my ancient copy of Bullfinch's Mythology, Fenris is the wolf from Norse mythology that will eventually devour the world.
