6. I think he refers to how Skinner phrased a warning re
election night. It WAS kinda convoluted, but we got the point anyway...

Right Robb?

7. I know he was citing Skinner - I was referring to
the convoluted way Skinner phrased his post. I meant "Regarding Skinner's Post - What was that all about?"

Special Note for Kerry-Hating Fellow Liberals Who Can't Wait to Say "I Told You So" if Kerry Loses the Election

Don't do it. You've been warned.

If Kerry loses, there will be plenty of time later for everyone to discuss what happened. But please don't start with the "I told you so" stuff immediately after the polls close, because you'll probably get banned. Most members of this message board are going to be devastated if we lose. We will be coming to DU for comfort and support; the last thing we want to hear is a patronizing speech from some holier-than-thou jerk. But I don't think that is going to be a problem because...

(In a reply on that thread, Skinner said it may have been convoluted because it could be read more than one way. He mentioned that he might change it, but I don't think he did. That's all I remember...)

12. Again, I know what Skinner said
I was following the same line of Robb's original post and was trying to echo his jab at Skinner for a pretty strange choice of words.
I got both Skinner the first time, and Robb the first time.

13. Sorry, I'm old and in the way...
Not really, but it appears that way in this thread!

Sigh.

17. I'm fairly old myself
At least according to most of the youngins I work with. I don't think you were in the way. I just didn't understand why you were trying to explain a rather simple concept to me, which I understood the whole time.

I shouldn't have been so quick with the typing though. Sorry about that. This election is making me crazy and I can't handle the stress.

2. Kerry was not my first choice
but i've come to be very glad he's our candidate. He's proven himself over the last few months. Dean, Clarke, Kucinich (sp) could not have looked much better than Kerry has of late. I was quite proud to vote for him.

4. Isn't that the Brit spelling? Or Canadian?
Which doesn't really matter. I always use "The General" because I know I can spell that.

14. They'll be plenty of time to criticize Kerry
during his administration if he fucks up. Personally I think he's going to end up being the most liberal president that we've had in a long time. That's not saying that he's going to be a real lefty, though.

15. True enough. I don't know that even with a Blue Hill he would
really pursue a left-leaning agenda.

18. That's one area where I think we're going to have to
cut him some slack. He won't be able to get a lot of his agenda passed unless we win back the House and the Senate.
