I fixed my computer!!!!
I have done so much in the last 2 days I can't even tell you which one worked. I ran spysweeper and registry mechanic today and ran spyware blaster ( which only protects.not cleans) BUT it is running great now. MY friend says I should change all my passwords? This would be a nightmare to do....does anything think this is neccessary?

1. Put in a firewall. Change passwords....what passwords?
And virus protection.

It's a jungle out here!

2. Buy your hardware firewall.
You can get them for a couple of hundred bucks these days. These external firewalls are the most reliable security available. You can research them on the Dell website.

4. Well, I spent too many years in communications, I change my passwords
about every 12 days so. I also kinda go overboard (for example, is it really necessary, for an IRC Nickserv bot, to use a password like "r@1n80VV" (rainbow) ?????????????)

um, I forget... what was the question?

Congratulations on fixing it. Two things to rememeber.

  1. Always make modifications 1 at a time, so you know what worked, or what fried your computer.
  2. Works better if you do things regularly/periodically, rather than letting thing progress and then trying to clean them up in one fell swoop.
