2. I was gonna ask the same.
Between automated withdrawals and debit cards (which I understand aren't as popular in the states), writing cheques is really rare for me. Plus, I often get really annoyed when I need to write one, because I can never remember where I left the damn chequebook!

4. I haven't written a check in 3 years!
My debit card and my Am Ex are the only things I need.

All my recurring monthly bills are set up online so I can click and pay them.

The house payment is drafted on the day I designate.

All statements are sent to me online, so I can download them and print them for my records.

7. yes!
it's a rare day when i write a check, never in a checkout line. that's what debit cards are for! i have e-checking to pay all my bills, even one-timers. people who write checks in store lines get on my last nerve now! it's usually old folks tho...

get with the program!
