"Midnight Run"...an F-bomb every 30 seconds, now edited for TV
"Midnight Run" is on A&E tonight at 9:00. I've seen the Turner stations' whitewashed version of this...they dubbed a lot of "hecks" and "darns" over the vocal track, which seemed to have a "George Carlin 7 Words You Can't Say On TV" word every 30 seconds or so.

No idea how A&E will handle it, but it might be worth a laugh:

Midnight Run (1988)
A&E Jan 02 09:00pm
Movies, 180 Mins.
***+ (Rated R)

A scruffy bounty hunter has five days to bring a fussy embezzler from New York to Los Angeles.

Cast: Robert De Niro, Charles Grodin, Yaphet Kotto, John Ashton, Dennis Farina, Joe Pantoliano, Wendy Phillips, Richard Foronjy.

1. I saw Midnight Run on A&E or AMC recently
and those naughy words were dubbed over. Still entertaining.

2. I own that movie so everytime it's on cable
I can put the tape in and watch it un cut .

I can't imagine how frustrating it must be
to watch it chopped to bits .

4. I simply love the very last scene in that movie!
That scene makes the movie. "You wouldn't happen to have change of a thousand, would ya?

5. Interestingly, while "Midnight Run" is on right now, I am
half-watching just "Midnight", starring Don Ameche and Claudette Colbert.

6. Well, both RAGING BULL and THE EXORCIST made it to broadcast TV.
Imagine the editing jobs they had to do on those films!

7. Turner is the worst for that.
In Dumb and Dumber, they just CUT the entire bathroom scene...didn't even show it.

8. I saw that version a while back. I don't know why
I bothered to watch it, because I do have that movie on DVD.
