Found out a former co-worker (retired) doesn't like me...LOL!
This has been quite a week! I got into a spat with a sexist co-worker who said no woman would ever be president, and I found out a former co-worked doesn't like me...LOL!

My best friend calls me to she was over at the former co-worker's house for work reasons, talking to a relative, and started talking to the former co-worker. She was saying she worked until a couple years ago, retired, blah blah blah. So my friend said, "you know D, she got a new job in the agency, she starts in the middle of the month." So, former co-worker (S), said, "Oh.....Her." So my friend asked, "what you don't like her?" She said, "she is REALLY weird!" my friend being the friend that she is said "well she is a good person, and she is very smart, and she is a very good friend of mine." Then S said, "well...whatever." and the conversation ended.

This woman falsified her time sheets and lied and said I didn't follow training on a small task when she never trained me how to do that task. Perhaps the main supervisor could have asked everyone else in the unit, and found out that nobody was doing this task the particular way she said she trained me to do. But, he decided to take the word of S, rather than take into account that maybe I was telling the truth, and that she had falsified time sheets in the past, and therefore maybe the truthfulness of everything that came out of her mouth should be taken into account.

I am glad she thinks I am weird. If she is normal, I want no part of it, and it is a compliment to my character that she does not like me.

1. I wouldn't care about the opinion of someone I didn't respect anyway.

If you ever run into this old bat, go out of your way to be nice. It will drive her NUTS!

3. Yes it would!
It was good news I got from my friend. It made my night to find out she doesn't like me. If I found out Ann Coulter didn't like me, I couldn't be happier than finding out that this lady didn't like me...LOL.

2. I have always believed you are evaluated by your enemies...
Good for you for having such a whacko.

It is so sad there are such bad people out there. I wonder if she was a FRepuke -- it sounds like that kind of person.

4. She commented to me once
When I was playing Women's pro football..."why would any woman want to play THAT? I just don't get it."

That may be where the "weird" idea of me set in her brain. It was a while ago, but I think I told her something along the lines of "it is not my job to go along with conventions or fit the preconceptions of what women are supposed to do or not do. I choose to play football because it is a great sport that I love."

5. You played women's pro football??
Wow -- how cool is that! What position did you play?

Too bad your co-worker has such a limited and demeaning view of women.

9. Defensive tackle/end
I played in Germany in 91-92 though, and I played Tight End, I was much better at offense than defense...lol.

6. "You laugh because I'm different; I laugh because you're all the same."
Fuck your former co-worker! I'll bet her idea of excitement is waiting to see the latest episode of "Desperate Housewives."

10. Yep, she had a very confined image of what women should do
She can sit at home all the hell she likes. I will do what it is I do...LOL.

8. Aw, you knew she didn't like you but you sucked it up
Now all that pent up frustration over dealing with her shit is coming back to piss you off again.

Sounds like you were in some kind of hell situation when she was screwing with your life. Just be so glad she can't screw with it now.
How awesome to have a loyal friend to keep you posted...

I agree. Kill her with kindness, like you feel sorry for HER. Thieves and wicked people divide and conquer. They HATE being patronized.

12. Oh I am not pissed off
I am happy I don't have to deal with her negativity, and happy that someone of low character thinks that I am weird. She may be unhappy that she cannot be there to try to kiss up to bossy-poo and lie to him to mess me up anymore. There is a much better energy at my work since she left, but even then, I am moving on from there to a better position.

:)

11. My philosophy is simple
You don't have to like everyone you work with, you just have to get along.

There are people I work with that I adore, and others, well, not so much. The one thing I can control is how I feel about all of them, not how they feel about me. So I just do my thing. If they love me, great. If they don't, their loss.

It sounds like you had a healthy take on things when you worked together.

14. Good philosophy
I have realized in life that not everyone will like you, and there is no way that you can make other people happy. They have to make themselves happy.

16. Yep.
Wanting someone else to make you happy is asking too much of them. I'm not the doctor. :)
