Geeks - DVD Rom movie player
I have a DVD ROM on my computer. Can anyone recommend any good software to play regular movies on it? Never used the thing.

I gave my regular DVD player to my daughter cos hers got drowned at a kegger.

1. Won't Windows Media Player do it?
The only free movie players I know about are xine (http://www.xinehq.de) and MPlayer (http://www.mplayerhq.hu) but both of those are Unix/Linux programs I don't know if either have been ported to Windows.

2. Just stick a DVD in the drive and see what program launches itself!

5. My copy of XP came with:
Intervideo WinDVD 4, and it's great. Yours is probably similar. Just put the disk in and XP will give you a list of suiatable programs to choose from, in a small window.
