Poll question: Which piece-of-shit '70s/'80s TV show will make it to the big screen next?
Edited on Sun Jan-09-05 05:52 PM by NightTrain
Hey, if THE DUKES OF HAZZARD can become a feature-length film, any TV show can! So, which small-screen atrocity do you think Hollywood will next make into a big-screen atrocity?

9. Oh, geez, thanks a lot, Dean,
I'd very happily forgotten about these dumbfuck series years ago, and here you have to make me think of them again, YUCK! And I can't believe that I ever looked forward to Saturday night and the Love Boat and Fantasy Island shows (keep in mind I was only 10 through 14 at the time, very young and dumb!). I can't watch more than five minutes of either show now, though.

41. If they did
They would drop the most important thing that made the show cool: the theme music. Can't have the royalties going to someone else now can we? (see Wild Wild West, Secret Agent Man, etc).

Speaking of themes, has anyone started a "Miami Vice" movie yet?

29. Series was DAMN good, but the movie would suck rocks. WKRP in Cincinnati.
They could have the best writers, best directors, but there is no way in hell they could cast it.

Imagine: David Spade as Les Nessman.

:puke:

And don't be surprised if someone tries it--seriously. Double :puke:

34. I'd like to see "All in the Family" made into a movie
It would be an absolute riot, especially with a PG-13 rating.

Picture Archie actually cursing out Mike Stivic....

39. Not me!
Carroll O'Connor *was* Archie Bunker. Nobody else could make him come alive the way O'Connor did. Besides, the country is so much more right-wing now than it was when ALL IN THE FAMILY topped the ratings, I don't think I'd be able to laugh at a big-screen update of it.

Given todays enviroment, they would make Archie the voice of reason and cast "Meathead" as an elitist jerk.

And if they do Fantasy Island, it will either have to be an over-the-top spoof ala The Brady Bunch, or go very dark.
