Her shape looks better against the thing with that unnatural curve.

They just did a little photoshopping.

38. It's just more of a straight line.
I've seen Jessica Alba from the side before, and it doesn't do that.

That curve is completely unnatural on anybody.

19. according to Butthead, it means she's hot
"Whenever you see a chick with her back all bent like that, it means she's hot"

although Beavis thinks its an injury.

As for Jessica Alba, she's never done anything for me.

7. Huge Dem supporter
Doesn't excuse her from being rude, unless it was just a bad mood type thing.

And I'd probably be a little POed too if I were Punk'd... especially with some of the shit they pull on that show.

10. Well yeah, I would have been pissed too
but my cousin said her attitude was atrocious. Dem supporter or not, I can't stand her. Couldn't stand her before Punk'd and what my cousin told me.

37. I don't really know if she was acting like a bitch on Punk'd
There was a guy hovering around her completely naked. She was kidnapped once so you think she could have a tude about anything close to strangers making her feel uncomfortable or anything that could be borderline harrassment.

She may be a huge bitch for all I know, and that would be dissapointing, just as dissapointing as the rumors that she's been with that SOB Derek Jeter.

30. He doesn't even look like that in the movie
he's smaller and less orange. I saw the trailer for it before Elektra tonight.

He looks pretty good.

Apparently throughout the movie he progressively gets more and more dry and rock/plate-like after starting off more organic/soft looking (and how Kirby originally drew him).

8. Ummmm
Shouldn't the Invisible Woman be a bit older? She is Reed Richards' wife after all....

Chiklis, though - that's a pretty good choice. The important question is, who is playing Dr. Doom?

I still think James Earl Jones would have made a great Dr Doom, if only because Dr Doom probably wouldn't sound too dissimilar to Darth Vader

31. No, she's the exact right age. Sue Storm was just out of college in the
original comics. Ben, Reed, and Doom were early 30's. Johny Storm was 17 or 18.

The only person way off age wise is Michael Chiklis, and he's also the least faithful actor to how the original characters looked. Ben Grimm was a roughly good-looking football player type. Not a bald middle aged guy.

13. She's not very invisible, though, is she?
Maybe she just thinks she's invisible, and the other characters play along with her to keep her halfway sane.

so she thinks she's invisible.

Bad choice for Mr. Fantastic. I like the actor, but he's waaaay too young for the role.

16. Another comic book movie...whoopdee doo...
:eyes:

Don't suppose they could come up with an ORIGINAL sci-fi/comic like franchise? Or something that isn't based on a book/another movie/another sequel?

Like they can't come up with more than 2 working black actresses who aren't also singers....or more than 2 working Asians period....

I'd be so embarrassed to be working in films today.

33. It's "Thing" but I can see why people would confuse them
The original X-Men were largely a parallel with the FF with Students in the place of a family. In terms of general appearance anyway.

Cyke - Mr. Fantastic
Jean - Invisible Girl
Beast - Thing
Iceman - Human Torch

25. and isn't the Human Torch a surfer-type dude?
...the source of a lot of his charm. this actor looks too uptight.

agree that both mr & mrs fantastic are too young but I guess that's to appeal to the target audience, 14-yo boys :eyes:

animated = better unless they do something intelligent and involving with the story.

34. THEY AREN'T TOO YOUNG GOD DAMNIT
Edited on Sat Jan-15-05 06:04 AM by Bombtrack
This is the most common complaint I see and it's so frustrating because it's based on cluelessness about the comics.

They are the only 2 people in the cast (not including McMahahon) who are exactly the right ages for how old the characters were the origin.

As far as the Human Torch, the guy playing him is pretty damn good. Johnny was the prototypical flashy gearhead showoff. Not really a surfer type. People often compare Chris Evans to a Top Gun era Tom Cruise and that fits the character perfectly. It would have been better for someone a couple years younger but it's certainly nothing that major.

26. I'm as big a comic book fan as you'll find
But that movie is going to blow.

Fantastic Four just doesn't translate well to the hip superhero movie scene we've established. The camp is just too interwoven into the fabric of that whole story.

I have low expectations. I think we could be looking at another Daredevil. Ugh!

36. The full trailer will be available in a couple days online
I saw it tonight I think you're wrong. I really don't see it as being any more campy than Spider-Man or Batman.

I think it lends itself perfectly to a successful franchise. With the second one, with Galactus, outdoing the first.
