A SAD, SAD DAY HERE AT PHOEBUS HIGH SCHOOL...
About 8 weeks ago a former student (Jackie Ward) collapsed and died due to an undetectable heart condition that ran in her family... at the time she was a student at Hampton University.
This weekend the SAME FAMILY had another tragedy..... Jackie's 16 year old brother (Joe, a senior here at Phoebus) suffered the exact same fate..... he died while doing baseball weight training here in the building on Saturday morning.

It hasn't "hit" me yet because it's gold day, but joe is in my "B" Block on blue days.... I'm not looking forward to that empty chair tomorrow. :-(
My mind won't even wrap around what it must be like to be in that family this morning....

...during Christmas break, four months after her brother died.
