1. Didn't look very good to me.
I think Marvel films are starting to get pretty mediocre.

5. They're running about 50/50 now between great films and mediocre
films, atleast mediocre compared to their great films.

They need directors who can do what a Raime, a Singer, a Del Torro, can do for a comic book film on all thier movies.

I don't think Fox would be pumping an extra 20 million into the movie and considering Tim Story for directing X-Men 3 if they didn't really like what they were seeing so far. Fox is not charitable like that. If they don't have confidence that something is going to do well they aren't going to open their bank accounts any more. They wouldn't even cough up extra money for either X-Men film despite how great they were. In fact they downright shortchanged Singer on the first one.

You can't really base how good FF is going to be based on Blade Trinity being a 6 or Elektra being a 4 any more than you can say it's going to be a 10 because Spider-Man 2 was a 10, going by the scale of all comic book movies.

6. I will regret watching that trailer 4 EVER
It looks like it will be about as good as Catwoman, maybe even better.

7. Fantastic 4 is the end of comic book movie trends
Happens every time. About the time the wonks get around to dragging them out of the cooler the trend is burnt up.

8. based on what?
X-Men 3, Superman, and Wonder Woman are all coming out in '06, Spider-Man 3 in 07. Are those all going to suck?

10. If you install QT on Windows, don't try removing it.
It'll break your system.

Not sure if I should laugh or cry, in all honesty... :evilfrown:

I prefer RealPlayer (as they'll support many platforms) or a platform-independent solution.

11. The FF...
Well, I'll withold judgement. I loved the old Lee/Kirby and Byrne days on the comic, but I really don't have high hopes for this.

13. I think I have a video copy of the film made a few years ago, which was so
bad that Speilberg, IIRC, bought the rights to it so that it wouldn't be released so he could do a version later.

Maybe it's an apocryphal story, though...
